WHAT'S HAPPENING?
The Benoni Country Club, which was established in 1907, is one of
the most sought after venues on the East Rand, with easy access off
the N12 Highway and from Johannesburg International Airport.
The Club is set in park-like, tranquil surroundings and has a newly
renovated interior. We host corporate functions, weddings, seminars,
conferences, golf days and corporate events in four well-appointed
function rooms. Our seating capacity varies from 12 or less in our
Committee Room to 400 in our Ballroom. We have an 18 hole par 72 golf
course of championship length where we offer the unique opportunity of
viewing Springbok and Blesbok at close quarters as well as Duiker and
Steenbok and ample bird life. We have three bowling greens; eight tennis
courts with four under lights; four squash courts and a Pro shop with an
extensive range of golfing equipment, which are marketed at competitive
USA discounted prices.
As a member of Benoni Country Club the following social activities are
on offer:
An a la carte menu is available Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner
in the Executive bar which is open from 11:00am to 8:00pm
Our famous "lights out" menu is available in the Executive bar Tuesday
to Thursday lunch (12:00 to 2:00pm) and dinner (6:00pm to 8:00pm) - bookings
for evening meals essential.
A Membership draw takes place in the Executive bar every Friday night with a
'special's menu' on offer - booking essential
A buffet lunch is available every Friday in the Executive bar
Sunday carvery is served in the Banquet Room between 12:30 and 2:30 on Sundays with
a "light Lunch" menu available in the Executive bar, served between 12:30 and 2:30.
Christmas in July is on offer at the Bowls Club house with numerous social activities
open to other memberships.
Curry Night is held in the winter months in the Banquet room, bookings essential.
An annual Quiz Night and Bingo evening at very reasonable prices.
Christmas day lunch (one sitting) is held every year - bookings essential
The Club is closed on Monday's, apart form the Sportsman's bar which is open from
11:00am to 8:00pm - no catering available on Mondays. The Club is open Tuesday to
Sunday.
